About the Recipe
This recipe was one that continuously evolved over the years in Lisa's kitchen. It was one of her go-to weeknight meals when we were all exhausted from a long day or had to eat in a hurry. It was quick for her to put together, and never seemed to taste exactly the same way twice.

Ingredients
1-2 tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground beef
1 large yellow onion, diced
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can of diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
1 can of tomato sauce (14.5 oz)
2 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3-4 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp dried oregano
Preparation
In a saute pan, add olive oil and brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat. Add in onion and garlic, cooking until soft. Pour in cans of diced tomato and tomato sauce, along with the sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and oregano. Simmer for 15 minutes until sauce thickens a bit. Taste to adjust seasonings to your liking, and serve atop your favorite pasta.
